RPH Rock Band, RPH Jazz Band, Teen Music Workshop and Soul Pointe Will perform as part of the entertainment for Friday Night’s Carnival. Jazz Band needs to arrive by 5:30 pm for sound check and we will start to perform at approximately 6 to 6:15. Our part of the show should be about 20 to 30 minutes. Uniform is RPH Jazz Shirts (if you have them) Black pants, black shoes, black socks. Those without shirts should wear black or grey polo shirts or black or grey plain T- Shirt. Students need to take own instruments to and from event, and help put away chairs and stands before leaving. Parking will be across the street from the church on Church Street, near Thompson Elementary.
Round 1 of auditions, all students trying for singer will learn the audition material by working with Ms. Manuel , our vocal teacher, and by singing with the Jazz Band. All singers will sing on their own with the band and the Top 10 students will get to Audition on Thursday September 12th, Only 5 singers will be asked to join the Jazz Band.
6th Grade students will be presented with their elective options for the next school year. They will have a chance to ask questions and will receive their elective sheets. The Beginning Orchestra, Beginning Band, Intermediate Orchestra, and Intermediate Band will perform 1 music selection each. Elective sheet will be due on May 31st, 2019
Select members of the Richardson Jazz Band will perform at the Castaway Restaurant's Wakiki Room (Private Event) . We will perform during the cocktail hour. Students will not be fed. Uniform is formal. Parents are welcome to stay at the restaurant while students perform. Call Time is 5 pm
The 8th annual Spring Family movie night will have carnival games, tacos, snacks and performances by Richardson’s Advanced Orchestra, Advanced Band, Show Choir, Dance, Talent Show Winners, Rock Band, Jazz Band. This year’s movie is Gnomeo and Juliet. Admission is free, blankets and folding chairs welcome.

Richardson Advanced Band, Advanced Orchestra and Show Choir will meet at RPH at 6:30 am wearing formal uniform. Change of clothes for the theme park will need to be brought in garment bags. Buses depart at 7 am. Show Choir will perform at TBD,
Advanced Band and Advanced Orchestra will perform at TBD; We will then go to Knott's Berry farm for the remainder of the trip. Students are expected to arrive at 11:00 pm and must be picked up within 15 minutes of arrival at RPH.
A select group of Jazz Band and Advanced Orchestra students will perform for classes at the Child Development Center at Valley College. Each group will demonstrate instruments, perform one song each, then allow students to handle the musical instruments in a series of 15 minute sessions. This will be a walking field trip between RPH and Valley College.
RPH Jazz Band will perform at San Manuel Stadium prior to the baseball game. the show will last approximately 30 minutes and will begin at approximately 5:30 pm and end at 6 pm, however, due to a 7th grade field trip we may start and end a little later than what is planned. Students need to enter through the side gate near the 3rd base side, look for the equipment trailer. Tickets for performer and parents are available, see Mr. Wing or Mr. Llamas if you wish to stay after the show and watch the game. Uniform is casual and we will have a rehearsal April 8th to prepare from 2:40 to 4 pm.
Richardson Advanced Band and Advanced Orchestra will go back stage at Disneyland Califonia Adventure for a workshop where they will learn how Movie Soundtracks are produced. Student's will have a 90 minute session where they will sight-read and record music from Disney films in a simulated film-scoring studio environment. Students will spend the rest of the time at the theme park. Buses will depart RPH at 7 am and return at Approximately at 11 pm. Detention will be given to students not picked up within 15 minutes of arrival at RPH.
Richardson Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced Orchestras will perform their annual Holiday Concert at Arroyo Valley High School. Admission is free, Call time for Managers and Chair Crew is 5:30 pm and all other performers 6:pm. Concert attire is Casual Uniform.

This is a PRIVATE EVENT where the Jazz Band will perform for 45 minutes. I would like a few parents to come along as chaperones if possible. Students need to turn in permission slips prior to event, and they are responsible for turning in homework prior to departure. Jazz students will be excused from class at 8:30 am, load the equipment trailer and then board the bus, bus departure to Pomona Fairgrounds is 9 am. Students will be fed at the event and are expected to return approximately at 2:45 pm. Concert attire is formal.
