Jazz Band will perform at a lunchtime event for retired SBCUSD teachers at the Elks Lodge in San Bernardino.

Call Time is 11 am at the Elks Lodge in San Bernardino, 2055 Elks Drive.  From 11 am to 11:30 am we will be setting up, everyone need to help.  I will bring the drum set, aux percussion bag, Key Board, Key board Amp, Key Board Stand, Jazz Stands, 2 Regular Music Stands and 3 stools.  Everything else must be brought by you, such as guitars, instruments, instrument cables, sheet music , etc.....

Attire is formal (Black shirts with Orange Ties)  This performance is for Horns and Rhythm section, no singers.  8th graders can turn in instruments after the performance.  Uniforms must turned in to the RPH office ASAP.

Schedule of the day:

12:20 pm enter lodge quietly, prepare to perform

Richardson Jazz Band will join the other Richardson after-school programs for a Spring Performance at Sturges Auditorium. Call Time is 5:30 pm, Uniform is Formal. More information coming soon.

Richardson Jazz Band , Cajon Jazz Band and San Gorgonio Jazz Band will perform at the annual District Jazz Concert. Uniform is Formal Attire (Black Shirt, Orange Ties). Admission is free and the performance will be held in the San Gorgonio H.S. Auditorium. Call Time is 6 pm and students are expected to stay until 7:30 pm.

Advanced Band and Advanced Orchestra will compete at the Music in the Park Festival. Call Time is 6:30 am at RPH and students will need formal uniforms. We will depart RPH by 7 am. Advanced Band will perform at Valencia High School in Placentia, CA at 8:50 am. Advanced Orchestra will perform at Placentia Presbyterian Church at 10:30 am. We will arrive at Knott’s Berry Farm by 11:30 am and remain at the park until 10 pm. The awards ceremony will be at 5 pm. We will arrive at RPH at approximately 11 pm. Students will be provided admission to Knott’s and additional tickets can be purchased for $34 each cash with Mr. Llamas no later than Friday April 15th.

Richardson Jazz Band will perform as part of the National Orange Show in San Bernardino. Call time is 11 am and performance is at 12 pm. Performers need to enter through Gate 8 on Arrowhead Street and meet at the big stage. Uniform is Formal Attire (Black Shirts/ Orange Ties) and students will be giving family 4-pack admission. Families will need to enter at noon when the gates open. There is a parking fee, however if parents are only dropping off/ picking up they should not be charged.

Advanced Orchestra will perform the national anthem before the 66ers game. Uniform is Casual Attire and call time is 6:15 pm. Students will receive a ticket to attend the game. Additional tickets may be purchased for $12 each cash with Mr. Llamas, for any other family members or friends. Tickets must be purchased by Friday April 8th, to secure tickets next to your student. Jazz Band will perform a pregame show . Call Time is 4:45 pm for Rhythm Section and 5 pm for horns. Mr. Wing and I will get the tickets when we arrive around 4 pm. Enter through the gate on the 3rd base side. Parking is $10, however, if you are being dropped off just inform the parking attendant and you should not be charged. Uniform is Causal, Gray Shirt, Black pants, socks and shoes. Students that stay for the game will be given tickets along with their family members. The performance is from 5:45 pm - 6:15 pm. Game starts at 7:05 pm and I will be at the game until 9 pm. Please have an adult with you or be picked up no later than 9 pm.

Jazz band will perform at the annual San Bernardino ArtsFest held at Court Street Square. We will perform at 10:45 am to 11:10 am. Call time is 10 am and dress is formal attire (black shirts orange ties. Parking is free and the event is free.

Jazz Band will perform for both lunches. The uniform is casual (Grey Shirts). We will be playing the same music on March 19th for parents at the SB Arts Fest at 10:45 am.

All music classes (including Jazz Band) will be taking a class picture for the yearbook. Students will need their uniforms and instruments. I will be buying all the images for the classes. (whole group) and they will be shared with you upon request. You will be able to then print the photos on your own or share on social media once you will have the digital file.

Individual digital photos of your student in uniform and with their instrument are also available for purchase for $10 cash. The file will be sent to me and I will then send it to your students district gmail account so they can share it with you.

Uniform is Black Pants, All-black Shoes, All-Black Socks and Class Shirt for Beginning and Intermediate Classes. Advanced Classes and Jazz Band need to wear Formal Uniforms. This assignment is an assessment and will be graded.

- I will open RPH gates at approximately 7:15 am. Students can be dropped off between 7:15 am to 8 am
- Students need to come dressed in their formal uniforms, bow ties are at RPH.
- Don't forget your instruments, sheet music and money for food/ snacks
- Band will perform at 10 am and Orchestra at 12:30 pm. Admission is free but audience members must wear a mask (mask optional for performers) while in the auditorium.
- Only chaperones and music director are allowed in the warm up room and clinic room.
- Parents can park at Valley College in Lots 1, 3 or 10.

This is a Mandatory Performance as part of the music class and students will receive a grade on attendance, uniform, behavior and preparedness. The students are to wear the casual concert attire; Music shirt (provided before the date of the show), all-black pants, all-black shoes; and all black socks (long enough to cover the skin while in the sitting position. The Sturges theater is located at the corner of E street and 8th Street in the city of San Bernardino.

Richardson Jazz Band will perform as part of the Holiday Extravaganza at Sturges Theater @ 6 pm. Call time is 5 pm and uniform is casual concert attire. Admission is free and open to immediate family, masks are required. Mr. Llamas will not be at this event so Ms. Natalie Arles will be in charge of the Jazz Band.

Richardson Jazz Band will Perform from 5:45 pm - 6 pm prior to the annual Lottery Showcase. The showcase is held for students that might want to make Richardson PREP HI their future school. The Jazz Band will play at the beginning of the event, parents of the Jazz students are welcome to attend. This event is outside in the quad and the Jazz Band Uniform is Casual Concert Attire (Grey Jazz Shirt, black pants, black shoes, black socks). The Jazz Shirts will be distributed prior to the performance. Students can stay at CAPS until the performance and may be picked up after their performance is over and the equipment is returned to the music room. The parking lot may be full and you may need to park in the parking lot across the street next to the park. Call Time is 5 pm for the Rhythm Section and 5:15 pm for Horns. Students must be picked up by the end of the event no later than 7 pm.

Come to Richardson PREP HI Middle School’s Annual Veteran’s Day as we honor current and former members of the armed forces. The Advanced Band and Advanced Orchestra will perform as part of the assembly and family members may attend. The musicians will need to be in their casual concert attire and will be released after the performance area (chairs/ equipment are all put away). If school is not over, parents may check the students out in the front office and then show Mr. Llamas the early release slip so you can take your student.

Advanced Band and Advanced Orchestra will perform in. the RPH Quad for the first time since the COVID-19 Shutdown. Admission is free and the performance will be outdoors in the quad. Call time is 6 pm and dress is casual uniform (Advanced Shirt/ Black Pants/ Black Socks/ All Black Shoes). Each group is playing 3 pieces and all performers are required to stay for the duration of the show.
